It is 1920, and in a sleepy Sussex village, an elderly beekeeper (who is definitely not the world’s greatest detective… any more) is  trying to arrange a very important picnic for his dear friend Watson. The only problem is that a series of pesky mysteries keep  getting in the way!

I have not been good about teaching and easing the player into things in my games. I usually start you at level 2 because I design at that level so not really the best way to get you used to things. I'll try to be better. Though I have <15 days to make my next game.

The Last Lightbearer is my first 'official' game release. It is made with RPGM MV, and has roughly eight hours worth of playtime. It follows a family that leads the last of mankind through the end of their world, as they try to aid it's potential savior through seemingly impossible trials. Combat is turn based, but the characters do not receive gear or levels as they progress. Instead, the player must pay attention to statuses, timers, and tells, in order to succeed. Each skill serves a purpose, and must be utilized, as simply trying to force one's way would result in a quick loss. For those who only want the story, Story Mode skips battles completely, and will give a basic rundown of the fight. There are also Hints available for most battles, for those that want the challenge, but can't quite find the key to success. I am also updating the game whenever I find issues, or any are brought to my attention. Please check out the link for a more detailed description, and a FREE download link!

I had been trying to make games as a hobby for years. I fell into the trap of.... I mean I fell in love with programming and tumbled down the rabbit hole. Many years ago I decided that I was not having any luck trying to write the games I had in my head. The game mechanics never really came together. They all ended up giving me the conclusion that the design would fail and the game world would just not be believable.

At some point I knew I needed to do something simple. Something where the rules were already laid out for me. See my idea about my capabilities was always over blown. Yet I knew I did not have the work completed that shows what I thought my self capable of doing.

And so I endeavored to make a solitaire game. It has well defined rules its well known so it already has a good player base. And in about a year I had a version released to the Android play store. Where it stood for a couple more years until it became outdated and google took it down. And rightfully so it was built for a wide target audience. Meaning its target are devices that will soon be out of support.

So I had to update it and revive it somehow, and it took 1-2 hours after work. With the goal to just to keep making progress. Then a month later I had a new ad supported version. Which you can play for free. Its just simply solitaire. No frills or shiny things just a simple solitaire game you get for free.

And as you've seen I have plenty of projects to work on. And would love to know what types of games you enjoy playing. I'll keep you informed of how this journey goes its rough since I recently got laid off and was hoping to have more games with at least some money coming in and honestly give things a go on my own.

This life is a struggle sometimes and everybody is pushing and pulling. I hope that the games and experiences I make can help alleviate some of that struggle.
